Jessica Rold is a fine artist and graphic designer currently living on Fanø, a small island off the South West coast of Denmark.
Her flexible painting techniques as well as her extensive knowledge of design software gives her a wide range when it comes to what she can create. Balancing a full morning of graphic development next to an evening of painting is what keeps her creative edge sharp.
Jessica's current series captures sculptural formations of flourishing mushrooms, foliage, and coral at the peak of their existence. A vast variety of species intermingle with one another to highlight their unique characteristics. Weaving natural objects into unnatural formations question the effect we’ve had on sustainability by forcing nature into what we perceive as aesthetically beautiful.
